Espot Esquí is in a privileged location as it is close to the San Mauricio Lake, one of the most beautiful areas of the Pyrenees which gives its name to the national park where the resort in located.
Port-Ainé is located just below the Pic de l'Orri, at 2,440 m altitude. Because of its privileged position on the north side of the mountains, the snow there is always in very good condition.
A family orientated resort, a high mountain environment where beginners right up to expert skiers can enjoy downhill skiing, snow surfing, Nordic or cross- country skiing, at a small resort with big slopes.
It was created in 1955 and is the only national park in Cataluña. It has a high mountain landscape with an impressive relief and a great variety of fauna and vegetation. Thanks to the nearly 200 lakes and their countless streams, water is undoubtedly the main feature of this area. It is well signed and the conservation of the area has been excellent; there are also a number of shelter huts on the mountain meaning you can stop along the way.
